What is your hobby

Once I was asked what my hobby is. I thought a lot, thinking what to answer, cause hobby implies an action you spend a lot of time to and enjoy. After a while, I said firmly: “Reading”.

And that’s true.

I don’t just sometimes sit with a book on a sofa or killing my time in the subway on my way to work or back gobbling another best-seller downloaded to my iPhone before coming out of the flat. No, I really like to spend most of my free-time reading. I started to read a lot in the last year of school just after I found a book with a “strange” cover: a boy in a red cap shown from his back. I thought “what a strange cover” because before this I seen things like this on serious books. Bright covers like that one, I thought, it is something for little kids or young teenagers and that one I was holding was really too “fat” to be one of that kind! Intrigued, I started to read somewhere from the middle and swallowed it at one evening! Only after I read the last words and closed the book I looked at the title. That was “The catcher in the rye”. Like the author says, I always wanted to read a book whose author you can then once call and speak to!

So after this I really started being interesting in reading. First I hunted for the books with “cool” covers. Not all of them were “good reading”, though! L J Then I saw little text sometimes published before or after the author’s text. I started to look through them in the books I liked. That was critics. There I found many names of many authors who were compared to ones whose books I had in my arms. And of course, I started to read those “compared” ones. After a while I saw that from all the books in the world less than one per cent really worth reading! And now finding those ones and reading them really became my passion and something I devote a significant amount of my time to. So, I really can say that my hobby is READING!

Great Writers

In the future, we hope that people will read more and more fiction, and at least one member of a family will know who Leo Tolstoy, William Shakespeare and Oscar Wild are.
Have you ever thougt how many millions of people in the world every day open any printed material and read it. Some of them read the first page of the newspaper, others at least romantic storyand the third ones read the whole novel. And it is not important why they read. We think that there are different reasons for reading. For example reading helps to relax, to distract from daily routine, to learn something new, to know the latest news. Sometimes people read just for fun. Readers are taking books from the libraries, buying them in the book shops, downloading them from the internet and sometimes even borrow the books from friends. By the way some scientists believe that reading aloud can even affect somehow on the plants growth.
But of course not everyone likes reading. There are men and women who like to spend their free time by watching TV. They find it much more interesting and less time consuming.

What book to choose

In order for the money, time, and our forces, invested in some book, but more accurately, in a certain author, was sense, a need to have a specific answer to a specific question: «Methods to resolve its internal problem which I want to found in the book? ». If we have such an issue in a campaign in a bookshop, we will not take even interesting, but not an appropriate solution to our problems books. We will take one, though subtle and not so bright cover, but you really need. You can not go into a bookshop without a goal. This is the same as going nowhere, and then upset that the bank did not have time.
To set a goal to hike to the store, in a sentence «I want to find a book that is:», add the following: «How can I make?». In the end result is something like the following: «I want to find a book that would explain to me how to do:». With this aim, the book is much easier to choose.
The issue of «How?», all books with speculations about the meaning of human life or a specific person. We do not need explanation. We need an answer to the question: «How can I understand the meaning of life? How can I figure out why I live it and why I want this world and what this world needs me? ».
Agree with the goal «As I understand the meaning of my life?», You will not read the book, where you at six hundred pages that thought and think about this different intelligent and interesting people. You do not need their answers. You need to answer, given by himself. You need a book that gives a way to get this answer.
